The Marketing/Media Team is very excited to announce the launch of the brand new TIC 2020! Our team has been working very hard to get this launched. We faced several challenges to get to this point, but the day is finally here.
Our goal was to create a modern intranet site that is easy to use, informative, and most of all, useful for Tempco Employees. Here are some of the things to look for in the new TIC 2020:
NEW IMPROVED FORMAT
Right off the bat, you will notice a big visual change to the new TIC 2020. The site was designed to align with our recently updated branding and is built on a responsive web platform, which means that the elements on the screen will adjust based on the size of your browser window.
DASHBOARD
The TIC Dashboard is the central hub for Tempco Events, Announcements, Important Messages/Dates, as well as a social media feed of our Instagram and YouTube accounts. Although most people at Tempco do not typically have access to these social media platforms on their PCs, the TIC Dashboard will allow you to see what Tempco is posting on Instagram and YouTube.
NAVIGATION
The navigation bar is located on the left side of the screen. You will notice many of the same department links as well as a few new ones: DASHBOARD, DIRECTORY, MAINTENANCE, ISO 9001 FORMS, MARKETING/MEDIA, & PURCHASING.
SEARCH
The new TIC 2020 now has a search function located at the top right corner. If you are having trouble locating certain information or finding a specific document, try typing it into the search bar. This will pull up the most relevant pages of the TIC with the keyword you enter.
Phase 1 of the new TIC 2020 was a big project for us, but we are not done yet. This will be an ongoing, evolving project. We have plans to bring more features and functionality to the TIC in Phase 2 in the coming months such as:
- Employee Directory including employee profiles
- Seating chart
- Resource page with links to various engineering tools
- Various charts, tables and calculators for Engineering & Sales purposes
- & More!
Please keep in mind… as with many tech related projects, bugs are inevitable. As you explore and use the new TIC 2020, if you spot anything that is not working properly, please notify the Marketing/Media Team right away at [email protected].
Also, very important, to give people time to adjust to the new TIC 2020, we will keep the previous version of the TIC up and running through the end of the year. It will be shut down by January 4, 2021 as we move forward with the new site. During this transition period, we WILL NOT be making any fixes, changes or additions to the previous version of the TIC.
