We have decided to engage the services of CHC Wellbeing to replace Interactive Health for our Wellness Program. CHC has been in business for over 17 years, and they are a large, not only Chicago area, but nationwide wellness provider.
We will be doing the biometric screenings (blood draws) the mornings of March 30, 31 and April 1, 2021 from 8-11am. They will be done on site at Tempco in the office kitchen. Off-site screening will also be available. To register visit app.chcw.com and enter the program code 4669Tem159 in the “New Participants” box and select “Register.”
For the 2021 program, employees who do NOT complete the wellbeing assessment will not be eligible for the incentive reduction in their employee share towards their health insurance in 2021. To be eligible for the reduction, both the employee and covered spouses must participate. Due to the change in wellness providers, if you participate you will retain the same status that you had as of April 24, 2020 pay date with respect to the reduction for the 2021 plan year. There will be no goal evaluation in 2021, just participation in the program. The goals will commence with the 2022 program.
Regarding CHC’s point system, it will be based on the same measurements as Interactive Health’s system, but with a slightly different methodology as to the number of points. Goals will be based on the same criteria as Interactive and will include blood pressure, LDL cholesterol, fasting blood sugar, triglycerides and nicotine use. Of course, the screening checks 37 different components of your blood. Meeting your health goals will require virtually the same results as with Interactive. CHC also has some impressive support services. They have health coaches and also a very good website which contains a great deal of information. They will provide a monthly wellness newsletter and have 700 courses both in English and Spanish on their website, among other things. Included is a financial wellbeing section where they have a quiz to determine your knowledge about the topic and also have related educational courses.
